Professor Peter Halley

Peter is a Professor in Polymer Engineering in the School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Queensland.

Peter conducts underlying research for the translation to new sustainable polymer products and processes and is involved in research projects on biopolymers, rheology and processing of plastics and biomaterials, and sustainable polymer processes. He is currently a chief investigator in the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Bioplastics and Biocomposites (ARC-ITTCBB) and the Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA).

Peter leads a project on sustainable plastics use in health care: a holistic mapping of medical plastic waste streams and the development of new products.
