Professor Namita Roy Choudhury
Namita is a Professor in the Department of Chemical & Environmental Engineering, School of Engineering at RMIT University and the Deputy Director of the ARC Research Hub for Advanced Manufacturing with 2D Materials (AM2D).
With over 30 years of research experience in polymer science and engineering, Namita’s research is focused at the design and development of polymeric materials and biomimetic materials for barrier packaging, biomedical applications, and renewable energy solutions. In 2018, she was appointed as the Discipline Leader of Chemical Engineering at RMIT and in 2021 she became the Associate Dean and Head of the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at RMIT.
Namita leads a project with MyEco Group (SECOS), developing a compostable barrier film for food packaging
