Education & Training

The Solving Plastic Waste CRC (SPW CRC) prides itself on offering a cutting-edge Education & Training Program, offering a unique, hands-on Industry Doctoral Program for its PhD students and postdoctoral research fellows as well as being the first CRC to run a dedicated Microcredential Program.

The E&T Program will be a fundamental legacy of the CRC, establishing an ongoing multi-disciplinary alumni network, strengthening Australia’s circular economy research, and underpinning the skills and capabilities required in industry to develop, grow, and sustain a thriving circular economy for plastics.

At the SPW CRC, we believe in building our future leaders throughout our PhD Program. We know that by building motivation and capability to work across disciplinary and sectoral silos in our PhD students means making progress. We aim to build Australia’s future leaders able to collaborate with others across the plastics value chain to develop and apply new knowledge to drive transformation. The SPW CRC Doctoral Student Development Program (DSDP) will deliver on this ambition.
