Microcredential Overview

The Introduction to the Circular Economy and Plastics Microcredential will introduce you to the concepts underpinning the circular economy and their application in practice with respect to plastics.

You will learn about the development of the circular economy as a concept over the past decades, drawing on international experience and the challenge of creating a circular plastics economy, through practical examples.

By the end of the microcredential, you will be equipped to justify the rationale and benefits of a circular plastics economy, understanding how it applies in the Australian context and explain key barriers and how they can be overcome – including through policies such as extended producer responsibility and new business models.
